Well Christmas has come and went, and man what a great one it was!!! We had 3 separate Christmas celebrations (4 if you count the one with just David and I) and were able to spend time with the majority of our immediate families.
The 2nd week in December I had been doing my morning walks and my left ankle had started to hurt, so I kept off of it for 4 days and went back out again and was able to get in 8 miles. Only to wake up the next morning unable to walk :-/ So I went in had an x-ray to make sure that I did not brake a bone or something, they said I did not brake it but suspected a stress fracture and was put on crutches. Well to make a long story short, after Dr's visits and a bone scan of my foot and ankle they determined it was a high ankle sprain and after 2 weeks on crutches I'm now able to try and gradually start working out again!! I'm sooooo excited about this!!!
We celebrated Christmas with my dad on the 18th! Everyone came over to our house and I was hobbling along making homemade lasagna and all the sides for lunch!! Thank goodness for a wonderful husband that was around to help me the day of, and a wonderful best-friend that helped me go to the store and came back and helped me bake all the goodies we had out! Not sure that with me on crutches that I would have been able to do this on my own!! Below are some pictures of the Christmas with my dad.
Now fast forward on to Christmas Eve- We had Christmas with my Mom and Grandmother and that side of the family!!! I love going over there and spending time with them!! Such a laid back atmosphere!! We do a Chinese Christmas exchange, and if you have ever had one...you know these can get interesting and quite fun!!! Below are some of the pictures from the celebration with them-
Here is where David stole Kelly's gift and she was not to happy about it! LOL
Me and my soon to be new sister in-law
Our third and final Christmas stop was on Christmas day, When we left the DFW area it was overcast a lil chilly and some light drizzle.....we were on our way to Amarillo to have Christmas with David's dads and step-grandparents. We were driving thru and we hit Memphis TX, and it started to snow.....and it didn't stop!! As we got into Amarillo the roads were not all that great!! But thank the Lord all of us were able to make it there and were all safe and sound! here are some pictures of our drive in! It was really pretty to look at.....just didn't want to drive in it! LOL
Here is David shoveling snow....pretty sure he just wanted to go out and play in it! LOL
Here are a few of all of us having some quality family time! Bill- David's step-granddad plays music with a bunch of his friends- he had gotten out some of his stuff and was giving us a lil concert :-)
In other news: I had my HSG test done yesterday. The Dr that did the test said that from what he saw while he was doing the test my tubes look clear and my uterus looks good (other than the septate) He will look at the films more closely but said that he is pretty sure everything is a go for our next round of IUI!
I will say, I'm pretty sure that I will be more close lipped about everything than I have been with this next round. I don't like sharing bad news, so if I don't tell anyone what we are doing when we are doing it, then I don't have to tell anyone bad news. I will be updating the blog on all our other news though.
I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and will have a safe and happy New Year!!
We are going to have one last (God willing this will be our last anyway) Child free New Years Eve, so we are going to be out partying with all our friends!!! I will post all about it in my first 2012 blog! :-)

Christmas Time in the Chancellor home!!
Christmas is one of my favorite times of year (and not because of the gifts). I love to decorate the house and all the family functions that we get to go to and see all our family (by blood and our friends that are our family). It is also a wonderful time to celebrate Jesus's birth! As if it was not for him there would be no Christmas at all!
We get started early around here, I refuse to put up any Christmas decor until AFTER Thanksgiving!! LOL So the Day after Christmas was spent putting up the Christmas lights, the tree, and all the other house decorations!! We are hosting my Dad and family Christmas at our house this year so we wanted to make sure that everything was just right!! David and I try to get a lil more decorations every year since I never put up decorations when I lived alone- so we pretty much had to start with scratch 3 years ago. We really enjoy going shopping for more Christmas decorations, LOL it is like we are 2 kids in a candy store!!
Below are some pictures of the outside and inside of our house this year!!!
The outside lights!!
David getting the tree up and "fluffed out" LOL
The finished tree!!
The mantel and fireplace!
the credenza
Our Kitchen table! (I love this!)
The cookie platter!!
our "Our First Christmas" ornament It is technically our 3rd, but our first as a married couple!
Last weekend we went to David's work party. David was adamant that I wear a dress (those who know me, know that I don't like dress's!!) But I put one on anyway....LOL Here are some pictures from the party- the other couple in the picture below is Todd and Bobbie, we just love them!!!
In other Chancellor news:
David has been in California last week and is there again this week....I know that I don't have a choice in him going or not, but so close to the holidays I would like him to be home :-( but I do have some great friends that have gone to dinner and lunch with me last week as well as this week to keep me company and get me out of the house! LOL
As for baby news....we are just waiting on my cycle so I can go in for another HSG test to check my tubes to make sure there is not a blockage from the tubal pregnancy.
I did find a picture of something I want to put in our babies nursery- I posted it on my Facebook page, and a friend of mine from high school (who by the way is WAY more crafty than I could ever imagine being) said that she would make one for me!!! How awesome is that?? Not only to have it to put in their room, but to have it be made by someone who has known their Mommy for over 10 years!!! I can't wait to see what she comes up with and see the final project!! Here is the picture of what I want the wording to be-
That is all for now!! Have to get back to cleaning my house for this weekend!!!
